    Deceased Dominican Friars (Necrology)

    About this Dataroom

I got my hands on this list from a Dominican Friar (Catholic Priest) and I'm doing it as a favor to analyze the data. I eventually want to throw up these dates on twitter to remember the dead. I know, we Catholics have odd practices in honoring the dead. I want it to look something like this: https://twitter.com/#!/RealTimeWWII

    • Create a heat map of all the burial sites

    • Analyze the comment data and try to make a word heat map and find correlations

    • gather more data from my source, this is only one providence, there are many many more.

    • Does anyone know a free solution to automating/scheduling tweets? Like this: https://twitter.com/#!/RealTimeWWII HootSuite has a paid service for $5.99/month, but you can only load 200 scheduled tweets at a time. Looking for something that can be batch up

    • Find out if certain Ordained names were in fashion, for example Hyacinth was the name to have in the 1830s to 1850s, but fell out of favor in more modern times or Dominic is obviously the most popular name, similar to Latinos that name their children Mari

Ovoz - Glen McGregor (sushiboy21 on BuzzData) did something similar for Canada's War Dead on Twitter (@WeAreTheDead) - might be worth reaching out to him to pick his brains. Nick

If you want to collaborate on this data set, drop me a line. If you read some of the comments on the spreadsheet, these Friars were the cornerstone in their communities and I think this a great way of honoring their life work.
