Canada's war dead
Thanks for the dataset! One question about it: Any idea why eight people are listed as having died on 1 January 1750, and five more simply have "--" in the DOD field? I understand why not all of the fields are always available, particularly DOB, but I would have thought that DOD was one thing the forces would definitely have on record... Unless the dates are uncertain for captured soldiers who died in enemy custody, but then I would have expected a lot *more* than 13 to be unknown/incorrect.

I've just found another anomaly in the data: Private Henry Jackson of the Canadian Infantry (British Columbia Regiment) is listed as having a DOB of 21 April 1891 but no DOD, and his age is listed as -1892. As far as I can tell, his is the only entry with a stated age, but not both DOB and DOD.
