About this Dataroom
This data provides a snapshot of First Nations communities across Canada with drinking water advisories on October 31, 2011.
The data was obtained through an Access to Information request from Health Canada. Health Canada only keeps track of communities below the 60th parallel, so this data does not include northern communities above that parallel.
Note that the "Trigger" column displays the original reason why a water advisory was set. This reason may have changed since the advisory was first set and might not be the reason why the water advisory was still in place on Oct. 31, 2011.
