    Open Data Hubs Worldwide

    Cloned from momoko momoko

    About this Dataroom

A list of active open data hubs around the globe. Probably the most complete and correct list available (see Data sources below). UPDATE: DataCatalogs.org has overtaken this list as the most complete. Efforts should probably be concentrated there.

    Updates

Thanks for the updates, everyone! Keep them coming. Just post the link to any missing data hubs in the activity feed and we'll confirm it.

    Formatting

    • Put a dash to intentionally leave a field blank.
    • If the data hub is not government-sanctioned, please use its full name, not just the name of the city or state that it covers.
    • Public-private partnerships may be labelled "PPP" in the "Government sanctioned?" column.
    • Fill in "Administrative Division" only for government-sanctioned data providers and only if appropriate. Do not fill in for ministries, offices, etc.
    • Use "sovereign state" to designate a country like Canada. "Country" is used in cases like England, which is a country of the United Kingdom. Be aware that different countries use different names for their divisions.
    • Use an ISO 3166-2 code for subdivision, which you can find on Wikipedia and also Common Codes ISO31662-2
    • Use an ISO 3166-1 alpha 2 code for sovereign state, which you can find on Wikipedia and also Common Codes ISO 3166-1..
    • Before adding an unofficial government data hub, please try to find the authoritative sources on which that hub is based. You can probably eliminate some of the unofficial hubs already on the list by doing so.

Note that errors in these other sources have been corrected here.
