BLS OES City Level Occupation Data 2000-2009

Cleaned data in Wide Format from the Bureau of Labor Statistics' Occupational Employment Statistics dataset. Provides aggregated Occupational Employment data at the 2 digit SOC code (Manufacturing, Agriculture, etc). Data has been cleaned several ways: city level contiguity has been created by rolling 400 post 2003 fips definitions of MSA's into 2000 definitions, by comparing county definitions.

A "last observation carried forward" step was taken to fill out missing city-year data with previous years employment. (The OES uses a 3 year rolling survey so it is not suitable for time-series operations, but it is good for looking at snapshots of different occupations and data).
